The primary tattoo or \u201cpatch\u201d of the Aryan Brotherhood of Alabama is most commonly depicted in the popular \u201cshield\u201d form. It consists of a shield-like emblem featuring four icons, which may include the AB initials, SS lightning bolts, a #swastika, an Iron Cross, or a shamrock. Sometimes the numbers 14 and 88 (a reference to 14\/88) appear alongside the shield.
