The number 14 is used by White Supremacists as an abbreviation for the so-called “14 Words,” the most popular slogan among advocates of the Aryan race worldwide: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children.”
The slogan was coined by David Lane, a member of the White Supremacist terrorist group known as #TheOrder (Lane died in prison in 2007). The numerical symbol 14 is used even in countries where the translated version of the slogan contains fewer or more than 14 actual words, such as Greece, where the Greek translation contains 15 words rather than 14.

Because of its symbolic significance, White Supremacist groups use the number extensively, either on its own or in combination with other numerical symbols, particularly 88, which derives from the 8th letter of the Latin alphabet (H) and represents the coded expression “#HeilHitler.” White Supremacists may therefore incorporate the number 14 into group or publication names, screen names, email addresses, or virtually anywhere else.
