WHO IS WHO

WHO WE ARE

Know. Recognise. Stop Hate.

Hate2Hate.eu is a bilingual digital platform, available in Greek and English, dedicated to identifying, understanding and addressing hate.

From hate symbols and coded messages to hate speech, misinformation and narratives that can lead to discrimination, exclusion and division, HateOFF was created to make knowledge accessible, understandable and useful.

#Hate2HateEU is the continuation and evolution of HateOFF, Greece’s first online Antihatepedia / Antihateglossary, combining research, education, awareness and digital tools in a modern platform dedicated to challenging hate.

Because hate is not always obvious.

It can appear in a symbol, a number, a gesture, an emoji, a meme or a coded phrase. It can hide behind an apparently innocent image or within a narrative designed to manipulate, exclude or divide.

That is why context matters.

His Role at Hate2Hate

As Scientific and Editorial Supervisor, he is responsible for the overall research, methodological and educational direction of the platform, as well as the development and oversight of its content.

The Hate2Hate approach is based on the principle that no symbol, word, image or gesture should be examined in isolation from the context in which it is used.

Each entry therefore goes beyond simply identifying a symbol. Wherever possible, it examines its origins, history, meaning, use and contemporary context.

The aim is not to create yet another list of “forbidden symbols”.

The aim is to learn to look, to question, to research and to understand.

WHAT WE DO

Hate2Hate identifies, documents and explains symbols, codes, language and narratives associated with hate, providing the context needed to understand them.

IDENTIFY

A continuously expanding database of symbols, codes and visual references associated with hate and extremism.

UNDERSTAND

We explore their meaning, origins, history and contemporary uses.

EDUCATE

We create educational content and tools that strengthen critical thinking and the ability to recognise hate, manipulation and misinformation.

RESEARCH

We present research, articles, analysis and thematic content for citizens, educators, researchers, professionals, organisations and institutions.

ASK

Through our 24/7 AI Agent, users can send us a photograph of a potential hate symbol and receive assistance in identifying and understanding what they have encountered.

ACT

Because knowledge alone is not enough.

We turn knowledge into awareness - and awareness into action.

WHY HATE2HATE?

Because you cannot challenge what you cannot recognise.

Hate evolves.

Its symbols change. Its language adapts. Its codes transform. And its narratives travel rapidly across the internet and social media.

A symbol can have different meanings across different periods, societies and environments.

That is why, at Hate2Hate, context is at the heart of everything we do.

We do not simply want to tell you what something is.

We want to help you understand:

What it means. Where it comes from. How it is used. And why it matters.

We believe that education is prevention, that knowledge strengthens critical thinking, and that understanding can be the first step towards safer digital and social communities.

KNOWLEDGE IS THE BEGINNING

Hate2Hate is for everyone.

For citizens, educators, young people, researchers, professionals, journalists, organisations, NGOs and institutions who want to better understand the content they encounter around them.

Because challenging hate does not always begin with a report.

It can begin with a question:

“What does this mean?”

And that question can become the beginning of change.

Symbols have meanings.

Context matters.

Knowledge is power.

Know. Recognise. Stop Hate.
